Heart to Art is more than just a record label
Conceived at the dawn of the millennium by three visionary Jamaican immigrants living in the New York tri-state, Heart to Art Music (“Heart to Art”) is a progressive record label that aims to give gifted, even if unheralded, artistes a forum to develop and showcase their talents. Given the Founders’ common Jamaican heritage and ongoing involvement in the Jamaican music industry, most notably through our affiliation with Father Romie’s Exodus Nuclear Recordz, Heart to Art’s catalogue is understandably dominated by elements of reggae and its dancehall offshoot. However, that is where the predictability ends, for the members’ multicultural immersion and penchant for experimentation means that Heart to Art is consistently crossing musical boundaries. Regardless of the subject matter, the members always bring lyrical ingenuity and musical dexterity to the creative process. As we continue to explore the boundaries of our artistic limits, we intend to expand beyond the musical realm, for Heart to Art is more than just a record label. We are a movement in passionate pursuit of unleashing the creative genius.
